MINI WRC Team Technical Director Dave Wilcock will be happy with an improvement of just one place on the 15th position gained in France. Leading up to the final special stage, MINI were in with a chance of winning the rally but were unable capitalise on their position. Spain will be just the fifth stage that the MINI WRC Team have competed in, with three finishes and just one retirement very encouraging for the future.

Dani and Carlos are really looking forward to the Spanish stage of the championship and are hopeful of a special performance in their homeland. “This will obviously be a very special rally for me,” says Dani. “A lot of friends and fans will be there. That is fun, and gives me extra motivation to go out and get a good result.”
